Fair Provides Chance to Take Home The Blue Ribbon!

Bake a perfect pie? Crochet an amazing afghan? Create wonderful websites? Design an incredible invitation? Snap a fantastic photo? Prove it! The Southern California Fair is offering everyone the chance to showcase their talents. “The fair is the perfect place to show off what you can do. There are hundreds of divisions to enter,” says Merci Mangabat, Exhibits Coordinator. “Not only can you win a blue ribbon but most divisions offer prize money too.”

Even if you have never entered the fair before, it’s easy to do. Pick up an Entry Handbook, fill out the entry form, send it to the fair by the deadline and you’re set. The entire Entry Handbook is available by clicking the picture of the book to the right and are also available at libraries throughout the county. Complete rules and entry forms are in the handbook.

The 2006 Southern California Fair will run October 7-15. With “Rev Up the Fun” as its theme, this year’s fair has the green light for fun. So, on your mark – pick up a book, get set – fill out the entry form and GO – to the fair to see if your best really is the best.
